 Paolo Ballanti studied under I. Rizzi in Ravenna where he was awarded honours in his final diploma. He was a pupil of A. Vendramelli at the Accademia Internazionale Superiore di Musica “L.Perosi” in Bielle where he received top marks in the diploma as soloist and chamber music player. He then attended courses in chamber music held by P.N. Masi and B. Canini and was awarded the “Diploma Internazionale” from the Music School of Florence. In 1985 he founded the “Ravennensemble” and together they have won national and international competitions. He still has concert commitments with them.He has been part of Accademia Bizantina since it was founded, taking an active part in the artistic activity that has gained them prestige both in Italy and abroad (Europe, United States, Mexico, Israel, Japan), working with the most eminent contemporary artists.
