![]() Nicola Dal Maso took his final examinations in his hometown under Maestro Gianni Amadio. Immediately after obtaining his diploma he attended numerous courses in Italy and abroad on the interpretation of baroque and classical music and began a professional collaboration with own teachers. He has performed under the musical direction of Jordi Savall, Christophe Coin, Ton Koopman, Christopher Hogwood, Bartold and Sigiswald Kuijken, Emanuelle Haim, Monica Hugget, Ottavio Dantone, Fabio biondi, Christophe Rousset, Anner Bylsma, and Reinhard Goebel. At present he mainly plays with : Accademia Bizantina –Ravenna- Ottavio Dantone Le Concert d’Astrée – Paris- Emanuelle Haim L’Amoroso – Paris- Guido Balestracci I Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca – Treviso- Giorgio Fava L’Ensemble Barocco- Florence – Alan Curtis Les Talens Lyrique – Paris –Christophe Rousset He has made recordings for Denon, Decca, Tactus, Erato, Symfonia, Arts, Opus111, Thymallus, K 617, and Emi Virgin. He can also be heard on numerous recordings for Italian, French, German, and Swiss radio and television companies. From 1993 to 1999 he taught at the Italian- Swiss Conservatoire in Lugano. He plays a Vincenzo Ruggeri double bass made in 1735, a Bernardo Calcanius made in 1755, a violone in G of the Florentine School at the end of the seventeenth century, and a violone grosso, a reproduction of a Gasparo Da Salò of 1590. |
