To close this 40th edition, Andreas Scholl, our favourite countertenor who has remained loyal to the festival since 1994, offers us a programme in the form of a great gala evening by inviting a few of his singer friends, some of whom also made their debut in Beaune, in particular Paul-Antoine Bénos, Mari Eriksmoen, Sarah Traubel, … plus a few surprises.
The orchestra that accompanies this gala for the 40th anniversary of the festival is the Accademia Bizantina conducted by Ottavio Dantone, partner of Andreas Scholl’s concerts and records for many years.
